tuwoo beta 1

i have been spouting about tuwoo for months now, but i have finally released beta 1. You can have a look here: www.espresso-online.info/tuwoo.

I have changed the function of the app to make it very simple, it is now similar to something like pastebin.com, just that the notes/lists are protected.

I am thinking about adding some form of sharing sometime in the near future, but i am still contemplating as to how best to implement it.

FormAPI Class Library

I think that somewhere in this blog of mine i have told you that i am writing a FormAPI Class Library. I started with it when i was working on Tuwoo (which is still not done), but last night i deciced that i would rewrite it completely from scratch and release it as an open-source stand-alone class library (i may add this to a framework that i am slowly putting together).

Microsoft Exchange Server 2007

I have been looking at Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 OWA (Outlook Web Access) today. We use Ms Exchange Server 2003 in our office, havnt gotten round to updating to the latest version, one of the problems being that we would need to update our server to an x64 version of Ms Small Business Server.

a few changes

Im sure that by now you have noticed that Espresso Online has found some new clothes. Why, you all shout? because the older version of this theme was getting a little bland - needed some color.

tell me what u think please. nighty night :)

ReVerse App

whats ReVerse App? well simply, it collects the BibleGateway Verse-of-the-Day using the RSS provided and then stores them in a database. This allows you to look at an archive of Verse-of-the-Day verses.

You can have a look at the Beta over here: www.espresso-online.info/reverse

please tell me what you think as well as I am keen to make it very useful :)

Peril at End House - My review

I wrote about the Agatha Christie - Peril at End House - show performed by Silvermine Academy in a post below (www.espresso-online.info/site/node/77). This morning I went to see the show, and my first opinion is that it was a really great show. I would give it a 4/5.

The last show is just now - at around 17h30. It was in the Sun Valley Primary hall, which is a nice and big hall, the last time I was in that hall was for a Pinocchio show a long time ago. The chairs get a little sore after a long time, but that was not too bad, as there was a 20 minute break after Act 2.

Agatha Christie, Peril at End House Show

A friend of mine's (www.noelharrison.net) school (www.silvermineacademy.co.za) is doing a show on Peril at End House by Agatha Christie. You can have a look at the flyer here: www.silvermine.co.za/peril.

I believe that it is gonna be really good, so if you are in the area (cape town/southern peninsula) please think about going.

Fresh air could save millions

Fresh air could save millions in datacenter cooling costs, Intel has claimed, after a successful experiment in the New Mexico desert.

Replacing air conditioning by piping in outside air saved power costs with no appreciable increase in server failure rates, the company concluded in a research paper. Despite a lot of dust and major temperature changes--both long considered undesirable in datacenters--the equipment wasn't affected, said Intel.
